My Cherry Mint collection is featured in the November/December 2016 issue of Quiltmaker Magazine!
It is used in a designed called Shadow Boxes by Jennifer Thomas. It looks like there is a digital quilt pattern as well as a kit available for a limited time.
I’ve been making sample products of my fabric!
Apron, oven mitt, tea towel
Cushion, teddy and throw quilt (Triangle Jitters design by Suzy Quilts)
My very first fabric collection “Cherry Mint” from Clothworks is out, and I just got my own samples in the mail!! I can’t wait to cut them up and make something with them. :)
Just a quick note… I’ve added some designs onto my Red Bubble page.
Here are a few.
I have been enjoying five weeks of creative madness, taking the Make Art That Sells – Creating Collections for Home Decor online class offered by Lilla Rogers Studio. I can’t tell you how much fun it is, although extremely challenging. Here is one of my assignments for the course–my favorite so far.
Home decor, here I come.
My design “Toucan” is featured on the Redbubble homepage. It’s this one –>
Through Redbubble, you can buy lots of things with my designs on them. Or other artists’ designs on them. Like scarves, cards, tote bags, cushions, posters, art prints, even duvet covers.
It’s raining in Las Vegas, the sky is so dark it almost looks like evening. Dreary, or mysterious? I’ll choose mysterious.
Some more of my designs are available on The Ink Nest now. (Thank you to Sabina!) The Ink Nest site is so very lovely. When I am feeling uninspired and blah, sometimes I will go to the site and breathe in all the loveliness to revive myself.

I have been traveling across North America, on and off, for the past three months, diligently carrying around my sketchbook, paints, paintbrushes and guitar.
There’s something wonderful about watching your 7 year old niece take one of your creations, and make it her own with some crayons. One of the highlights of my travels, indeed.

For the past couple months I have been preparing for an extended trip to the US, hopefully to move indefinitely. Between work and my band, sometimes it happens that I find I haven’t picked up a pen or brush for weeks…. and that’s exactly what has happened this time.
Not all was bad though! When you announce that you are leaving for a while, it turns out to be a great excuse to meet up with people in your life that you hadn’t seen or talked to for a while. And my band did a lot of touring and radio appearances, since it will be a while until we can play again together.
In other words, it was a time of preparation, reflection, and playing music. I’m pretty sure a change of scene will bring inspiration and start the creative juices flowing again, and I am looking forward to it.
Here is a close-up peak of a recent job. Can’t believe autumn is just around the corner!
